Fiction books I love

I love lists! So I thought I’d start on a list of fiction books I love. These books have captured my imagination and have become as much a part of my psyche as… my own writing. One day perhaps I’ll write some detailed reviews.

Le Grand Meaulnes by Alain-Fournier

Virtually every book by Jane Austen, but Sense and Sensibility is a favourite.

The Little Women books by Louisa M. Alcott

Possession by A.S. Byatt

All the books by the Brontes are remarkable, but my favourite has to be The Professor by Charlotte Bronte

The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

Parzival and the Stone from Heaven by Lindsay Clarke

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas

The Magus by John Fowles

All the ‘Anne’ books by L. M. Montgomery

1984 by George Orwell

His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman

All the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling

Rupetta by N. A. Sulway

The Secret History by Donna Tartt

The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

I will be adding more later!
